It is often disappointing for us to see that the trail version we are using gets expired even before we get hold of the new software we want to learn.
Generally what i do is get a grip over the software using the trail version and then buy the licensed version.
It is always best in my case since we suggest new software specially for doing a load test or a performance test and we download the trail version study them and choose the best one which suits us and for doing this it might take some days and in some trail version they only provide 10 days and we used to find it difficult to learn.
So over a period of time i have come out with a solution which is really working.
This is a personal experience while i was trying to understand and use a software which was to be purchased i found out a way to use the trail version without getting expired but it has to be done with a lot of care and any violation will lead you to expiry of the trail version or the no of days will reduce.
There are lot of time stopper software's available in the market but i was not satisfied .
